Amigos help launch Globe venue

The former Globe cinema in Albany Road, Roath, Cardiff, is reopening as a 300-capacity music venue, offering a range of gigs including jazz, blues and soul.

Swansea-based gypsy jazz outfit The Amigos are among the attractions in the opening week with a gig on Wednesday 26 November.

Dreadzone will now headline the opening night on Saturday 22 November - the planned gig by Michelle Shocked on Saturday 8 November has been switched to The Point.

If you want a gig booking at the Globe, contact owner/promoter Alan Jones on 07738 983947.

See the website at www.theglobecardiff.com for further updates including a full spec of the venue's professional sound and lighting system.
